SoundSource now shows the tentative value in italics, but only confirms it once the “Return” key is pressed. Improvements have been made for better volume changes when using the keyboard's number keys. SoundSource now properly identifies AirPods Pro 2. As well, SoundSource now recognizes volume events sent by Stream Deck and other keyboard finagling software. Super Volume Keys Improvements Performance has been improved, to avoid rare delays when volume keys are pressed very rapidly.
Improvements in ACE 11.9 The Audio Capture Engine (ACE) has been updated to 11.9, with compatibility for MacOS 13 (Ventura) and many improvements for even more reliable audio capture. Initial MacOS 13 (Ventura) Compatibility SoundSource now has initial compatibility with MacOS 13 (Ventura), with no known issues. Work has been done to avoid an issue where new ACE installations could incorrectly show an “Almost Ready” screen after restarting. It forces plugins to load in-process, for easier debugging by plugin developers. When loaded Audio Units are uninstalled while SoundSource is running, an error message will now be shown.Ī new “Debug Audio Units” hidden preference has been added. To further improve plugin reliability and lower CPU usage, SoundSource now intelligently increases the buffer size used for processing audio when the “Automatic/More Reliable” option is selected in settings/Preferences.
